If we do not receive payment from the General Contractor we had an agreement with, is it legal to go directly to the current property owner and /or the real estate agent to collect. We are in the state of Florida.

That depends on a lot of factors, such as whether the lien is timely and what knowledge the new owner had about the lien. You should consult with an attorney to determine exactly what your rights are.
