Is a contractor entitled to lost profits in connection with a permitted termination without cause?

Utah

We hired a contractor to do design and construction work, in separate, sequential phases. After the design work was complete, we terminated the contract without cause (for reasons unrelated to the work performed). It is undisputed that we had a right to terminate without cause. The contractor is seeking lost profits in an amount equal to 15% of the proposed budget, which it alleges it is entitled to under UT law. The contract is silent as to any payments being due on a termination without cause. Does UT law nevertheless provide that a contractor is entitled to "lost profits" in connection with a permitted termination without cause?
