We are a subcontractor of a builder who filed bankruptcy and we did not get paid on 8 residential houses. Liens have been filed however the owners have made no attempt to contact regarding payment which is odd. Typically they call super mad. Is it worth filing the intent to foreclose or do you have to wait the full year? Liens were filed in July & August. I did hear that a group of homeowners filed a lawsuit against the builder and maybe they are waiting on that decision before paying us. Its $24,330 in total so its a lot of money for us as a small business to have to keep waiting to collect.
