In Idaho can I file a lien without having filed a pre lien first?

Customer had unlicensed people come in to work on our jobs so I have to pull my guys off that job for liability reasons obviously, I removed what was left from the invoice but the customer is refusing to pay the final payment

Pre-lien notices are not required in Idaho.

There is no requirement in Idaho State Code for filing pre-liens. The only requirement is that the lien be filed within 90 days of the last date work was performed or materials were delivered to the job.
