Contractors are telling me we can continue to work & fabricate for their projects. Some projects are Healthcare, IT & school related. I have employees that are questioning this.
According to Indiana's Essential Businesses and Operations List, most construction work is being considered "essential" during this coronavirus outbreak. And, that site also specifically states that manufacturers who supply essential businesses will be deemed essential, too.
So, presumably, a fabricator who's making materials for a construction business would be deemed essential. And, when the work being done is healthcare-related or related to other public works, this would seem especially appropriate.
Obviously, things can change at the drop of the hat. So, it's important to keep an eye out for announcements from your local and state governments, as well as federal announcements.
