ArizonaPreliminary Notice

I'm working as the Architect / Engineer on a project in Arizona. If we’ve already since a Pre Lien Notice to the owner of a property, but now we’re working for a different client, do we need to send another notice? Same Owner / property….different client.

Whether or not an additional preliminary notice is specifically required is likely dependent on whether the work for the second client is a different project or different work of improvement.

However, the 20-day notice requires the "name and address of the person with whom the claimant has contracted." Accordingly, unless both parties were listed on the original preliminary notice, the owner should be provided a notice that provides the identity and contact information of the hiring party.
