If I cannot file a Pre-lien due to the fact that I am 20 days past the start of the job, what are my recourses?

Arizona

I have a customer that I am doing sub-contractor work for (Surveying). The job started in April 2021. I went ahead and filed the lien (without filing a pre-lien). Levelset liened the wrong property and so I had to release the lien. Now, I am attempting to file the lien again and the contractor is having a fit that I am liening the job. Please let me know what my recourse is at this point.

If you didn't properly serve a timely preliminary 20-day notice, you do not have lien rights against the property. If your work is ongoing and you still have work to do on the project, you should immediately serve a preliminary notice. If your work is complete, you are left with a breach of contract claim. You should consult an experienced real estate attorney to discuss your options.
