I put in a new AC unit at a rental property. $3,500 I have requested a waiver of lien before the final payment. The company is giving me a hard time.

You have the right to receive a lien waiver at the time of payment, but not before.

Yes, the job has been completed and I want to give them the final payment. However, I am requesting a waiver of lien but the company is giving me a hard time about it. Additionally if they complete it they want an additional $100.

It's a statutory form. See Florida Statute 713.20. Here is a copy of the form.
