A contractor did unacceptable work on my home and he filed a mechanics lien

The Florida Notice of Contest of Lien provisions are found under Fla. Stat. §713.22(2). The Notice must be filled out in the proper format, and should be recorded in the county clerk's office where the claim was filed. Once filed, the clerk's office will send a copy to the lienholder's address on file. After receipt, the claimant will then have 60 days to enforce their claim, or it will expire, and no longer be enforceable.
