I would like a lien against a job - this job already had a prelimary notice filed. one of the invoices goes back to June the latest is October. Is it legal for me to file a lien on this. it is for a hotel.
In Georgia, all lien claimants must file their mechanics lien within 90 days of the last date on which they supplied labor or materials to the project. As long as the same job/project is ongoing and the claimant is furnishing labor or materials to it, the deadline does not being to run. Once the potential claimant has finished furnishing labor or materials, the 90-day clock beings to count down.
