I want to fire my contractor without any issues later

I want to fire my contractor without any issues later. we already overpaid him according to the contract and he keep delaying the project. I want to hire him without later issues. i don't want his subcontractor or independent contractor or him to ask me for unreasonalbe money or lien my property.

You should carefully review the contract with an experienced construction lawyer. Bear in mind that if the contractor prepared the contract and you did not have your own independent expert review it, it is likely very one-sided in his/her favor. There could well be in-laid traps you will unwittingly fall into by trying to terminate it at this juncture, particularly if there are unpaid subcontractors.
