I've filed the lein against an apartment complex in Oct of 2021 and just found out they are trying to sell the property. What happens to my lein now?

Your lien will have to be paid or removed for the owner to provide clear title. The lien can be transfered to a bond or cash deposit by the owner. Your lien will expire one year from the date of recording unless you are given an official notice from the clerk of the court that it has been contested. This gives you 60 days to file suit to foreclose it or the lien will expire. A special type of lawsuit can be filed and served to you giving you 20 days to file suit or the lien will expire. Once expired the lien cannot be refiled. I recommend that you consult with a lawyer about filing suit on your lien.
