Once a lien has been filed, and some notice of the claimant's intention to enforce the lien and foreclose on the property has been sent, there are few options to move forward absent following through on that intent and initiating an enforcement action. A demand letter from an attorney may be another option to inform the property owner and/or other non-paying party of the seriousness with which you view the situation. Absent an attorney letter, or the ability to get a telephone or face-to-face conversation, the correspondence that has been provided (lien claim, notice of intent to foreclose) is about all there is to do prior to following through and filing suit.
