When unpaid for work on a public project, making a payment bond claim can be a great way to secure payment. Generally, the deadline to file a bond claim will be 60 days after last furnishing labor or materials to the project. And, after that deadline passes, then a bond claim likely won't be a viable option to force payment. For information on how to make a bond claim, this resource should be really valuable: Indiana Bond Claim Guide and FAQs. For help initiating a claim, you can get that process started with Levelset here.
