A construction company completed no work on the contract we signed so we agreed, in email, to pay for half the engineer fees and go our separate ways. After payment, we received a "paid in full" invoice. I wrote a bad review and was threatened with a lien if I didn't take it down. Now, the company has sent a notice of intent to file a lien for the full cancelation fee. If they did file, wouldn't this be a fraudulent claim?
