Here's a directory of Georgia construction lawyers who might be able to help: Top Georgia Construction Lawyers. If you click on an attorney's profile, you can contact them directly from their page.

Also, note that it's extremely common for owners to dispute lien filings, regardless of whether there's an actual issue with the claim. Further discussion on lien challenges here: What To Do If Your Lien is Challenged?

Feel free to contact me for assistance with this matter. I can review the Notice of Contest and advise as to next steps. Be aware you have only 60 days to take action or lose the lien.

Assuming that your lien is valid and you have recieved a valid Notice of Contest of lien, you have sixty days in which to "perfect" your lien. You perfect the lien by "commencing and action" and timely filing a Notice of Filing of Action. There are many ways to "commence an action", but the two most common ways are filing a lawsuit or, if your contract allows, filing a demand for arbitration. Often, the amount in controversy, jurisdiction, and reasons behaind the non-payment, etc. will determine the best course of actionto take. We are a commercial construciton law firm, and we will be glad to assist you or, if possible, offer you some guidance. Please feel free to email me mark@cobblawgroup.net. Good luck.
