I'm was consulting on a New York public project (Ernst and Young) and I filed a mechanics lien after a year I got a letter stating that my lien was to expire so I filed for an extension during that period I got a letter from the bonding company about my lien can I still file a bond lien . I received the notice from the surety company in Dec. of 2021. The original lien was first filed in Sept. 2020. an extension was filed on Dec.28 2021 only to find out that I filed the wrong lien. I should have filed a bonded lien. Can I still file for a bond lien or am I too late.
