i got a lawsuit for HOME owner lawyr . can he do that directly or it should be through the GC ?

i'm an electrical sub contractor and i got lawsuit ith all the sub contractor was involve with GC to build the house. the house sold by the GC , was inspaction approve by the city and privet inspaction company by owner , and it all repair and approved by the owner inspactors . now he throuing lawsuit agens all subs after he build eligal structure as an additon . can he still swing as?

If he is suing for construction defect most likely they are trying to get your insurance hooked into it. This is a complicated issue and there are several different ways you can respond. Give a call if you want to talk this through.

Yes, a homeowner can sue a subcontractor directly for construction defects. You will need to file an answer to the complaint with the Court or a default judgment could be entered against you!! You likely will need to retain legal counsel to defend the case.
