The title company has a check ready for pick up. However, we had to cancel the mechanics lien first. It was uploaded to the county. How long will it takes before we have documentation that it was uploaded, so I can send this document to the title company to receive our check.
Unfortunately, it's tough to predict how quickly (or slowly) a county recorded will file and index a mechanics lien release. However, you could always call the recorder's office to ask about whether the release has been processed. Or, going to their office and obtaining a copy of the filed lien release yourself could be an option (if their office is allowing walk-ins, of course).
