I signed a contract with a customer to refinish his kitchen. I am changing the color of the cabinets. They are also doing other things like countertops, floor, and backsplash. He called me a said the other contractors are delayed so they want to delay my part of the job. He also wants his deposit back. I am able to do my part of job on time. My contract follows the state guidelines. I advised him he had three day grace period where he could cancel. We are beyond the three days. Just curious what the legalities are with this situation. He doesn’t want to cancel the job but he wants his deposit back.
