Hello, I'm GC and sub at this project and regardless of the other notices I sent for GC/sub related to my scope of work, the property owner received a $632K loan from us. How can i protect this amount? please advise.
Ideally you should protect your loan be insisting on issuance of a deed of trust to secure the loan with the Property. You also can make a UCC filing. But he deed of trust would be the best approach to secure the debt.
