How to file mechanics lien?

MassachusettsMechanics Lien

I have sent out notice of intent to lien for a few properties. We have not got paid from any of the customers. One job we were hired by the customer directly, the other jobs we were hired through the company to work on properties they were hired for. What is our next step this has been since November 1, 2022 of me going back and forth trying to get this resolved.

A few of the requirements to ien a project are that you have to have a written contract, and this can be a collection of documents, like a PO and acknowledgement, and you have to record your lien and give the owner notice before the expiration of certain deadlines. An explanation of the entire lien process is beyond the scope of an online question and answer forum like this. I suggest you contact an attorney or a service that records mechanic's liens

Christopher Tolley is correct. Liens are quite complicated. If you worked directly for the owner, you have 90 days from the last day you worked there to record your Notice of Contract. If you were working for the General Contractor, that deadline is extended. If you miss the deadline, your lien will not be perfected. Feel free to give me a call to discuss.

Must file a Notice of Contract in registry of deed where projects are ASAP and then follow up with things like Statement of Accounts and Complaint filed at court
