I did a house flip for an out of state investor who is now not paying me for the work I have done. Need help immediately as he is trying to sell/rent the residential property.
You should immediately contact an attorney to review the project and your last date of work so if a lien has not been recorded, that can be prepared. If the lien is properly recorded prior to any potential sale, it will be noted on a title report and have to be addressed prior/at the closing of the property. It may also spur the property owner/developer to negotiate a resolution of the amount owed.
