How to contest a machinal lien

The asset has a FL mechanical lien in which I can not find a record of the lien file in Maimi Dade County. However, one has been produced by the company that files the lien. We have been trying to pay this bill since June 7th the lien company continues to come back to us with additional fees and will not release the asset without a hold harmless. When I received a copy of the said lien it states 7 days of storage being charge, an admin fee of $ 250.00 no additional storage, and the repair fees. I have gone back and advise that the lien states to pay a little over 14k and am now getting a response of let's have a discussion on this. I would like to know how do I contest the lien and what is the cost for me to contest the lien.
