Hello. We live in Leon County, Florida and have a dispute with our general contractor. He is demanding payment for items that have demonstrably not been done. We have paid his company in two separate draws that fulfill the work he has actually done. We have received no legal paperwork from him demanding payment. We would like to keep it that way. What should be our next steps? We plan to retain counsel.
