How long can an employee wait to submit hours to their employer to get paid?

Georgia

I have 6 employees and one of them never sends me their hours. It’s the most bizarre thing. I’ve had multiple meetings with them and nothing has changed. The most I’ve surmised is that they have been living off savings. I started to send them a base amount of money weekly since I had no idea how much they worked. I felt this was adequate since they never responded. I just received a large amount of hours submitted from them spanning from today to over three years ago. I have no way to corroborate these hours and am at a loss as what to do. Is there an expiration or statute of limitations for this? As the employer what rights do I have?

That is a bizarre situation. That may be more of an employment law issue than a construction law issue. The attorneys on this forum mostly specialize in construction litigation. Perhaps try the AVVO forum on employment law. Or Justia's legal forum.
