I own and operate a HVAC business as a C type LLC in Florida under my state license, lets call it biz-1. A fellow contractor died and the family is selling us the business, biz-2. How do we absorb and operate that biz-2 along with my current biz-1 under my existing license without qualifying a second company? What legal changes are required of biz-2 at Sunbiz and the DBPR? Should we disolve/close biz-2 corporation and open a dba with their name under my current corporation? We don't want to disrupt biz-2 customers by changing names on trucks, uniforms, and biz cards and the way calls were answered. Hope this makes sense. Thank you.
