How do I go about getting the lien removed from my property?

FloridaLien ReleasesMechanics Lien

Hello I am a property owner in Florida. It has been just over 1 year since a contractor filed a lien against me after refusing to complete their contract and I withheld the final payment. How do I go about getting the lien removed from my property? Is there some form that I need to file with the state or county?

If it has been over a year and the contractor has not filed suit, the lien is no longer valid. There is no mechanism to actually remove the lien – the fact that it is over a year old is sufficient evidence of its invalidity.

Hi, l have a contractor which came with estimate, took deposits and didn’t show up. The deposit total is $7000 What my options are? Also, contractor was your client whom you were defending in court in 2020
