How do I get rid of a mechanic's lien?

ColoradoLien Releases

We filed a lien on a project and have finally received payment so we would like to remove the lien. How do we go about doing this?

Releasing a mechanics lien is fairly straightforward. A CO lien release will need to be filed in the recorder's office where the initial claim was filed. This document should reference all of the lien filing information such as the county, book, and page number; and will also need to be in the proper format required by the specific county clerk and recorder office.

Alternatively, you can order a lien release directly through Levelset here .

Congratulations on getting paid!
