So, you now have a secured interest in the property by virtue of your Connecticut mechanics lien.
The next step is to retain a Connecticut lawyer to commence a legal action in Connecticut Superior Court to enforce this lien. Your action must be commenced within one year after recording the lien. You would be entitled to not only the amount of the lien but also interest and the costs of collection, including your attorney’s fees.
