How can I get a Florida contractor license without having attended college

FloridaLicenses

I have been buying homes over the past 4 years in Florida and have remodeled them myself, or hired licensed companies to do some of the work involved in plumbing or electrical. Flooring,tile,cabinets, painting, etc I have done myself. Do not have a college degree but feel confident I can pass the state exam. Does owning my company that is involved in the buying , selling and remodeling count towards the 4yr requirement for getting licensed?

This answer depends on what type of Florida general contractor license you're applying for; a Certified license or a Registered license. A certified license allows you to work anywhere within the state, while a registered license is limited to specific, local jurisdictions.

Florida certified licenses

The "proof of qualification" for a certified license doesn't necessarily require a college degree. You can fulfill this by meeting one of the following requirements:
  • Four-year, construction-related college degree & one year of proven experience;
  • One-year experience as a foreman & at least three years of college credits;
  • One-year experience as a worker, one-year experience as a foreman, & two years of college credits;
  • Two-year experience as a worker, one-year experience as a foreman, and one year of college credits; or
  • Four years of experience as a worker or foreman (at least one year of which was as a foreman)
In addition to this, if you are a military veteran, years of service may be substituted for college credits.

Florida registered license

As for registered licenses, you will only need to provide proof that you've met the "local competency standard requirements." This can be done by either providing a current local competency card, or a letter from a local building official testifying that you met all the competency standards and requirements for your specific trade. For more information, you can check out the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation website. They also provide a forum to submit specific licensing and application questions, and a search function for previously answered ones, here.

I'm not sure it's possible without going to college.

I don't see anything wrong with going to college. Since I'm studying to be a lawyer, I would advise you to ask https://writix.com/law-assignment-help for help. Because you can't do without legal help.

It sounds like you have gained a lot of valuable experience in the real estate and remodeling industries over the past 4 years. Your willingness to take on projects and learn new skills is commendable, and it shows that you have a strong work ethic and a passion for what you do. Regarding your question about whether owning your own company counts towards the 4-year requirement for getting licensed, I would recommend consulting with the licensing authority in Florida to get a definitive answer and visit https://onlineessays.org/ site there. They would be able to provide you with specific information and guidance on the requirements for obtaining a license in your area. Good luck with your future endeavors!
