How can I file a lien on municipal property

TexasBond Claims

Can I file a lien on a municipal property after 18 months off the job?, and if so what if the original g.c. filed for bankruptcy.

This is Sandra Moreno and I'm an attorney in Austin. No, you cannot file a lien on municipal property. A lien can only be filed against private property. If 18 months have passed since you last worked on the job and the GC has filed for bankruptcy, your best bet is to hire an attorney who is familiar with bankruptcy laws and file a claim with the Trustee handling the case. Please do this as soon as possible.
