How can a home repair vendor (Roofer, AC, Plumber) place a voluntary lien provided by customer?

FloridaCredit ManagementMechanics Lien

Can your company provide a service of helping file a public lien again residential real estate (not commercial) wherein a vendor repair company (Roofer, AC, Plumber, Windows, Solar, Pools, etc.) provides in house financing and accepts direct payments from the customer. The customer would welcome the lien and it would be voluntary without need for the "mechanics lien" process. Upon loan payoff the lien would be released.

If a business and a customer agree to place a lien against the customer's property to ensure payment, they could do so by drawing up paperwork evincing their agreement then filing that paperwork in the liened property's public record. But, as you mentioned above, that's certainly outside of the traditional mechanics lien process. As for what services Levelset provides - the Expert Center isn't designed for questions about the Levelset platform. Rather, it's a forum for construction businesses, property owners, etc. to obtain legal information on construction and construction payment topics. With that being said, Levelset can help construction businesses improve their payment processes and, when necessary, can aid them in filing mechanics liens. But Levelset cannot assist with the creation of a voluntary lien like the one you describe above. Reaching out to a local Florida attorney and having them draw up the necessary paperwork could help to get that done.
