We own a construction company & do residential & commercial jobs. I have a residential client who Ive started and completed more then half of a job for who has decided to terminate my company today due to them being frustrated about material & subcontractor timelines out of my control. I am still owed for the contract so I can place a lien. However the homeowner is refusing to return my forms and tools and keeping them in their locked garage and refusing to give them back. What coarse of action and options to I take now? the total job is about $80,000 in ehich Im still owed $13000.00 I am in the city of Colorado Springs, State of Colorado in El paso county.
