I'm a subcontractor who was working on a large commercial project. I have already filed a notice of mechanic's lien in DC (where the property is located). The subcontract in question provides a mandatory forum selection clause in Maryland. This doesn't change that the lawsuit to enforce the lien (as opposed to breach of contract) should be filed in DC, correct?
