Filing a lien in bankruptcy

Texas

Hey have a customer stating in October of 2022 in Texas that he has filed for bankruptcy. Can I still file a lien on the customer? He owes us $19,373.16.

Were you and/or your company listed in the bankrupcy?

Most liens carry through bankruptcy and are still valid. Most states require that the lien be filed pre chapter 7. If they did not include you in their filing though, and you didn't file a lien yet you may be in rights. I recommend talking to a bankruptcy attorney and or one who specializes in estate.
