A homeowner doesn’t want us to work on her flooring anymore due to her believing it should be done how she sees fit. We have completed half the work. The total amount for labor not including materials was 3500. She paid 1152 upfront as our required deposit. Since she has technically fired us, we are still owed the remainder of labor that has been done. Are we able to file a lien in order to secure the payment if she refuses to pay? She has been one of the most difficult customers we have ever dealt with.
