Hi We are wondering if we could include the fees paid to file our lien when collecting debts owed from companies who pay us ?

Hello, That depends on your contract. A contract written by an attorney would certainly include that as part of many other rights. This is separate as to if this can be allowed in the lien statement. That depends, in part, on the terms of your contract as well. As a general rule, attorney's fees are not allowed in the amount of the lien statement but interest is (another thing to include in your contract if you want above statutory interest) but late charges are not allowed.
