Enforcing a Lien in Colorado

Colorado

We have already filed the lien through Level Set and are just wondering what happens if we don't enforce it in the 6th month timeline. Would the lien still remain on the property?

The lien will technically still be there, and may cause a hangup with a lender if the homeowner is looking to sell or refi, but it won't have the legal effect of the threat of foreclosure. That doesn't mean you have no recourse for other claims, like breach of contract, to pursue. Frequently, foreclosure isn't the best or most cost-effective option anyway. Feel free to call our office to discuss the matter in greater detail. (720) 500-7855.

Thank you! They ended up paying at the Zero hour; but there are others we will be placing lien on. I've saveed your number for future questions. Thanks again!
