We did not have a formal contract with our customer Shannon Chase, she was a family friend and we agreed to bill on time and materials. We sent out the intent to lien when the Chases were avoiding payment and then completed the lien when they closed the checking account that they gave us posted dated checks to cash against. We have not received any communication from the Chases so we will need to send foreclosure notice.
