Does the Utah Prompt Payment apply ...

ArizonaPrompt Payment

I am an auto transport company in Arizona and was hired by AutoSource Motors in Woods Cross, Utah to transport cars from Colorado to Arizona. Pickup and delivery was made and signed off at both locations by an AutoSource employee. Payment was to be by company check within 10 business days. Final delivery on the last unit was 9/18/2019. AutoSource is refusing to pay. Does the Utah Prompt Payment Act apply. Thank you Mary Wakley olirishllc@gmail.com

The "Utah Prompt Payment Act" is an act that sets forth time for payment to parties by state agencies, and from contractors to subcontractors when the originally contracting business has been paid by a Utah state agency. In cases in which there is no payment from a Utah state agency, the Utah Prompt Payment Act does not apply, and the time for payment for specific services rendered to private parties are generally set forth by the Terms of the agreement between the parties themselves.
