I send a Notice to Extend Time In Which to File Lien for jobs in Colorado. I wanted to know if this extension changes the deadline for a lien foreclosure.

In Colorado, a lien extension is available to extend the time for which a lien may be filed. Colorado is one of the very few states that allow such an extension. However, the extension does not affect the deadline to enforce or foreclose a mechanics lien. In Colorado, a lien must be enforced within 6 months of the date the project was completed, or labor or materials were last furnished to the project.
