I'm very sorry to hear about that - however, this is a little outside of our wheelhouse here at the Construction Legal Center. The name can be a little confusing, but we commonly discuss "mechanics" liens as they relate to construction payment. Liens on vehicles and other personal property operate under different regulations. That being said, there are some online resources that could help with your question - specifically, the lawyers at avvo.com come from all different practice areas to answer legal questions on a variety of topics. Further, Justia.com and Lawyers.com might also be helpful.
