Do we send a signed lien release
ArizonaGood aftenoon. A contractor that we do work with, we had to file 2 notice of intent's on yesterday. Today they told us that since they have been notified of it, they will need a signed lien release in order to issue a check. That doesn't sound right. I guess I'm curious if that's something we should consider or if it is common.

A partial lien release is often common and may be included in the terms of your contract. Do not sign the release without advice of your attorney. The terms must be carefully reviewed to make sure that you do not give up various rights.
