Do I still need to take the test for General Contractor License?

FloridaLicenses

I am a general contractor in Ohio. I have been in business since 2003 and have always held liability insurance and workers comp in Ohio. How do I become a licensed general contractor in Florida? Do I still need to go through the testing process?

There is a new process that will allow you to use your Ohio license and receive a license by endorsement. There is a separate application for that and you will still need to do the background and credit checks - there may be a Florida Building Code test but you will need to get with the DBPR and check.
