I contracted with a General Contractor for a kitchen remodel. Finally work was completed and final payment to contractor was made on 8/25/22 check cleared the bank 8/29/22. A subcontractor filed a lien against my property on 11/14/22 for unpaid balance from contractor. Is this legal in New Mexico? Do I owe this?
