Do I have to send anything else or can I just file the lien?

Florida

We installed a roof for a customer, passed all inspections. The customer claims it was installed wrong called 3 county inspectors (1 was a Hillsborough County Chief Building inspector) and a GAF inspector which all said it was a good job and they could find nothing wrong. She still refuses to pay saying she doesn't like how the color looks.

You have 90 days from fininishing you work, not including trivial and punch-out work. Don't wait. File your lien and send the owner a copy so that she receives it within 15 days. Warn in a letter with the lien that if she doesn't pay within two weeks you will see a lawyer about bringing legal action on the lien.
