Do I have a problem with the lien?
VirginiaI am a subcontractor who just asserted a mechanics lien against a GC. However, the lien is asserted against a warehouse that they rent and do not own. Is there an issue with this?

You don't have a problem with the lien per se. However, if the landlord has not essentially consented to allow liens to be placed on its land due to non-payment for tenant improvements, then the lien would only attach to the value of the leasehold and not to the underlying land.
