Do air duct cleaning companies need a mechanical contractor license in Florida?

FloridaLicenses

I hired Master Cleaning of Broward LLC to clean my air ducts but there was no license number mentioned any where n their invoice. Are they legal?

The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation site has a helpful contractor search, which you can find here: DBPR License Search. There, you'll be able to search the business to ensure that they're licensed. And, to be sure, cleaning central air and heat ducts does require a license, as discussed under the "Construction Industry" tab, here: What Services Require a DBPR License? Ultimately, it would be helpful to scour the contract for work and/or any marketing information you've received on the business. Or, addressing the matter directly and asking them to provide proof of licensure could be a straightforward option, too.
