Did my contractor breach our contract first?

Colorado

Gentlemen: I hired a contractor following a water leak under the kitchen sink, resulting in saturated and sunken floor boards. The contractor came in, pulled up the laminate, and left five loud fans and a dehumidifier that was making us both cough and my lungs hurt. We told him about the problem with the dehumidifer, yet he turned it back on, saying "it has to be on." He also caused a gas leak when he put our stove back in place, and apparently didn't thread it correctly onto the gas line. We had to call the gas company to come out on a Sunday night, resulting in $125 charge. He also did not hook up our dishwasher properly, resulting in a leak underneath, saturating the floor boards, that later had to be pulled up. He is now billing me $2,000 for lost overhead and profit because we fired him before he could lay the new flooring. My question is, did he breach our contract first, with his shoddy workmanship? Thank you.

I'm going to risk a very big yes. But I would need to read the contract first...please tell me there is a signed contract.

Yes, I signed his contract. I think these are material breaches, which negate his contact.

Would you be willing to take a quick look at the contract and advise me?  Thank you.
